Use this list to check off your course work. The list is not in order and should be used as a guide, higher grade students will need to add more details and research into their folders.

Final Case Design.

Development of circuit ideas, with computer simulation. Including a final design. Linking to research on electronics.  

Product ideas for your design, linking to research and specification.

Development of initial designs going into detail about construction, materials, components etc.

Draw a table comparing your ideas, both electronic and case wise against your specification.

Final circuit and PCB design, annotated.

Final case design with annotation and notes, including linking to research on manufacturing processes.

Diary of making – PCB

Diary of making – your case.

Photos and explanations showing modelling for various ideas. This can include ProDesktop and actual modelling from materials.
Detailed notes and annotation highlighting possible problems or ideas for constructing and making of product.

Use of prototype / vero board and / or simulation on computer to model your design.

Diary of making for your electronic circuit board. Include problems, fault finding and modifications you had to make.

Diary of making for your case. Include pictures and detailed notes. Also include any problems or modifications you had to make along the way.

 

Evaluation and Testing.

 

Testing against Specification.

 

Testing and Evaluation

A table showing your testing of final product against your specification. Include any tests you have done and any modifications you needed or could use for future development.

Evaluation on project. Note future developments, problems, what you learnt, how the project could be improved. Also feedback from testers or clients.
